For over a century, NCJW has been a powerful force for social change across the country, around the globe - and right here in Cleveland.  The oldest Jewish women's organization in North America, NCJW women step forward when others retreat, speak out when others are silent, and champion the needs of women, children, and families.

For over 113 years, NCJW has been entrenched in the Cleveland Jewish Community.  For example, NCJW was a founder of the Jewish Community Federation, The Jewish Community Center, The Mt. Sinai Hospital, Council Gardens, and Bellflower Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Cleveland Section's 2200 members support 21 local community service projects, as well as numerous social action initiatives.  From school literacy programs to senior life-enrichment, from voter registration to our Play It Safe program, NCJW has been, and continues to be, at the leading edge of progressive social issues.  NCJW volunteers can be found at the NCJW/Montefiore Hospice Project, in the Cleveland Public Schools and throughout our community presenting programs of interest to a variety of women, children and families.
